Meditation techniques (ध्यान तंत्र): VBT2 (विज्ञान भैरव तंत्र २)

Every month I will be sharing one technique of meditation. There will be original Sanskrut text, and English / Marathi commentary on the technique. I expect reader should not take it as just a piece of information but practice the technique that suits him/her for at least one month to further the spiritual quest.

विज्ञान भैरव तंत्र    

Vidnyan Bhairav Tantra

श्री देव्युवाच
श्रुतं देव मया सर्वं रुद्रयामलसम्भवम् |
त्रिकभेदमशेषेण सारात्सारविभागशः ||

अद्यपि न निवृत्तो मे संशयपरमेश्वर |
किं रुपं तत्वतो देव शब्दराशिकलामयम् ||

किं वा नवात्मभेदेन भैरवे भैरवाकृतौ |
त्रिशिरोभेदभिन्नं वा किं वा शक्तित्रयात्मकम् ||

नादबिन्दुमयं वापि किं चंद्रार्धनिरोधिका|
चक्रारुढमनच्कं वा किं वा शक्तिस्वरुपकम् ||

परापरायासकलम् अपरायाश्च वा पुनः |
पराया यदि तद्वत्स्यात् परत्वं तद्विरुध्यते ||

नहि वर्ण विभेदेन देहभेदेन वा भवेत् |
परत्वंनिष्कलत्वेनसकलत्वे न तदभवेत् ||

प्रसादं कुरु मे नाथ नि:शेषं छिन्धि संशयम् |


भैरव उवाच
साधु साधु त्वया पृष्टं तन्त्रसारमिदं प्रिये |

गूहनीयतमं भद्रे तथापि कथयामि ते |
यत्किञ्चित्सकलं रुपं भैरवस्य प्रकीर्तितम् ||

देवीने विचारले...

हे शिवातुझे खरे स्वरुप काय आहे?

हे अचंबित करणारे जगत काय आहे?

बीजाचे मूलतत्व काय आहे?

संसाररुपी चक्राच्या केंद्रस्थानी काय आहे?

नामरुपांच्या पलिकडे काय आहे?

नामरुपातीत अमृतत्वाची प्राप्ती शक्य आहे का?

कृपया माझे शंकानिरसन करा...


शिवाने उत्तरादाखल ११२ ध्यानतंत्रे सांगितलीज्ञात-अज्ञात विश्वातील सर्व पंथसंप्रदाय,ज्ञानमार्ग यातील एक अथवा अधिक तंत्र पद्धतीद्वारा उत्पन्न झालेभूतवर्तमान तसेच भविष्य काळातील तत्त्ववेत्तेप्रेषित यातील एक अथवा अधिक तंत्रपद्धतीचे फलस्वरुप आहेत.

Now Shiva replies and describes 112 meditation techniques.  All the religions of the world, all the seers of the world, have reached the peak through some technique or other, and all those techniques will be in these one hundred and twelve techniques.

तंत्र २
मरुतोन्तर्बहिर्वापि वियद्युग्मानिवर्तनात् |
भैरव्या भैरवस्येत्थं भैरवि व्यज्यते वपु: ||
When the ingoing pranic air and outgoing pranic air are both restrained in their space from their (respective points of) return, the essence of bhairava, which is not different from bhairavi, manifests.

Through both turns of breath realize the self…
(Kumbhaka dharana)
Incoming and outgoing breaths are not two parallel lines but a circle. Breaths in and out are not two breaths but a single breath. There must be a point somewhere inside where incoming breath becomes outgoing one. Each time you change gear of vehicle, you have to pass a neutral gear. That neutral gear is turning point to shift from one to another gear. In this neutral gear ingoing breath becomes outgoing. In that neutral gear you are neither physical nor mental. Both are gears of your being. You go on moving from gear to gear, unaware about neutral gear passing in between, when you neither body nor mind. Hence the emphasis is on turning. Man is a big complex machine. You have many gears in body and in mind. This body-mind complex is a great machine, greatest mechanical device. Each cell is an alive soul. Millions of citizens living in the city called human body and city is running silently. There are moments when you are not part of this mechanism, when you change gears. For waking and sleeping states different mechanism of mind is needed. When you change gear there is turning. This turn is very subtle, which needs great observation capacity. But due to excessive thinking habit we miss observation almost always. Mind by nature can’t be at one single point. It is always on move. On turning, breath leaves you and you are not with breath. If breathing is life then you are dead, if breathing is body, then you are no body, if breathing is mind, then you are no mind during the moment of turning. A nonmoving breath at turning disjoins you from body and mind. You can be easily aware during this disjoined moment from the mechanism about your true nature. Who is there inside this house? Am I just a house without master? Am I just a mechanism? If you become aware of the turning, you will become a realized soul.   

श्वास विरामाच्या जाणीवेतून शरीररुपी यंत्रापलिकडील आत्मतत्वाची अनुभूती...
अंर्तश्वास आणि बर्हिश्वास एकाच चक्राचे अंग. जेव्हा श्वास मणिपुर चक्राशी स्पर्श करुन उच्छवास होतो त्यापुर्वी क्षणिक श्वासरहित अवस्था. ही अवस्था पार केल्याशिवाय उच्छवास  अशक्य. जर श्वासोछवास म्हणजे जीवन, शरीर, मन तर श्वास विराम म्हणजे मृत्यू, शरीर- मन अवस्था. शरीर- मनाच्या जाणीवेतून  आत्मतत्त्वाचे विस्मरण. शरीरात अगणित पेशी, मनाचे असंख्य पदर यांची स्वतःची कार्यपद्धती. श्व्वास विरामाच्या अवस्थेत या यांत्रिक कार्यपद्धतीच्या पलिकडील आत्मतत्वाची जाणीव शक्य. मनाच्या ऊच्छ्रुंखलतेमुळे श्वासविरामाची जाणीव नाही. दीर्घ श्वासोच्छश्वासाद्वारे मनाची स्थिरता प्रयत्न्नसाध्य. त्याद्वारा श्व्वास विरामाच्या जाणीवेतून आत्मतत्वाची अनुभूती.
